Its a high altitude meadow at an altitude of 3048 metres which offers the scintallating view of Himalayas with a Gleaming lake of white water at the bottom. On the route to Dyara Bugyal 28 kms from Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand) on Gangotri Road lies the Bhatwari. Via roadways one can go to Barsu Village and then on a trek of about 8 kms. The grass covered with snow flakes in the winter season charms the tourists in all ways and is a bliss for skiing enthusiasts. Dayara Bugyal thus attracts the skiing lovers as well as the viewers from all over the world. The fascinating snow covered slopes extend to about 28 sq. Km in area.
How To Reach :
Its a trek of about 8 kms form the village of Barsu. The two villages for the start of the trek are Barsu and Raithal both situated nearby Uttarkashi- Gangotri Road. By roadways the stop is at Bhatwari, from there Barsu is 11 kms drive. A couple of kilometers ahead lies the village of Raithal. Those interested in visiting Sheshnag Temple, start their trek at Raithal.
